What's In My Makeup Bag?

Hi there!

I know I haven't posted in a long time but I'm dealing with school and some other news and the blog has just been on the back burner lately. Instead of doing Lovely Links today, I decided to do a "what's in my bag" post but instead of using a bag, I'm using my makeup bag and stuff.

I just love this pretty little design with the hearts and stuff, it's too cute!

  • Hand sanitizer. It's important to keep your hands clean and germ free so a hand gel is absolutely required. This one is from Bath & Bodyworks and the scent or flavor or whatever is Aqua Blossom.

  •  Mascara- I love mascara, it's pretty cheap and un expenisve + it's easy to use. Mine is Great Lash, Brownish Brown.
  • Lipgloss/balm- I like this color, I think it's super cute and this one is from Ardene and the flavor is Fairy Dust.

  •  Tweezers- you never really know when you might spot a spare hair so make sure to keep these in your bag!

Nail Art Inspiration

I love nail art, it's so easy and fun to put on and if you don't like it, you can just take it right off! Here are some of my favorite nails.

DIY Messy Bun

I absolutely love messy buns, don't you! it's a cute way to get your hair out of your face! I know that there are tons of tutorials on this type of bun but this is the easiest way for me and it took me a while to master the messy bun but this works!

1. It's best to use second day hair because it helps grip it better and plus, you don't have to apply more product to it. Comb before starting.

2. Make a ponytail using your fingers. I did use a brush for my bangs though. Don't put your elastic on yet!

3. Start twisting your pony tail around (should have no elastic on it) and it should naturally curl into a bun shape by itself.

3. Wrap the hair around itself.

(my awkward leg just hanging there.)

Tada! You're done! This might take a few tries to master but it really does look good once you've got the hang of it!

Comment below and tell me how you did!

infinity and beyond ∞

I love infinity signs. I think they're so cute and meaningful. I was actually thinking of getting an infinity ring tattoo when I'm older. For now though, I guess I'll just have to get used to drawing it on my finger.

Call me crazy but I am so obssesed with it that I just had to draw it on my hand. Here's some more infinity inspiration. *drools on keyboard.*

school days

top: Hollister // tank top : Aeropostale // Jeans: Zara Kids.

Normally, I don't usually take pictures of outfits I wore but I thought it would be kind of interesting to see how it would turn out and I like it! I apologize for my modeling because I know it's awkward and it's awkward for me to post these up here. As you can see, my face isn't shown here because I'm still not comfortable in doing that but as time passes and I see the feedback, I might start to include my face in pictures!

Leave a comment below and I'll be happy.

DIY No Polish Manicure

Ever had a day where you can't sit still but you really want to paint your nails and don't want to risk ruining them? I love no polish manicures because sitting still is hard for me to do and it can be done in about 5-10 minutes.

You will need:

* a buffing block with a shine side - I used Revlon Crazy Shine, it really works and it's kinda cute!
* nail clippers - gotta keep your nails in order!

i love september

September.

What do you think of when you hear those words? For me, when I hear the word September, it makes me think of digging out winter coats, trying on new boots, rushing to get a Halloween costume, shorter days, Starbucks, pumpkins and cinnamon. Do any of you guys think this way? Is anybody else excited for this season/month to begin? Now, I know I'm a bit late here but better late than never right?

Wants For September

  • pie.
I love pie. I really do. Pie is a magical, warm little treat and I get instantly happier when I think about pie.

  • Leaves.

The crunchy sound that I make when I tread on top of leaves just makes me want to smile and breathe in the crisp Autumn air.

  • warm new fuzzy sweaters and pullovers
Changing of the season is also a changing of clothes. I love Dana's outfits, they remind me of fall.

  • pumpkins
I love everything about pumpkins. Carving them, picking a design, pulling the seeds out. Every time i see pumpkins start to go on sale at the stores, I simply stand there and smile.

DIY Nail Fail

This post was supposed to be a tutorial on mint tips. As you can see, it's not. This is a post about a hilarious nail fail I made.

I was going to do a post about pastel tips and how to create them, I screwed that up by peeling the paint off too fast. "oh well."  I thought. I decided to make a brand new tutorial on water marbling. I screwed that up as well.

Why don't we just take a moment and enjoy this nail fail. :)

Share some of your nail fail moments below and let's all laugh.
